Keith J. Scherzinger, P.E., PMP, is a Civil Engineer with a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Engineering degree in Civil Engineering, as well as a Master of Science in Information Science.  He has over thirty-five years of experience in engineering, engineering management, project management, and building inspections and forensics.

Before joining Consulting Engineers & Scientists, Inc., Mr. Scherzinger was employed by Rimkus, Inc. and multiple utility firms and utility contractors, including Xylem, Inc.  Mr. Scherzinger was responsible for civil engineering, design, construction, maintenance, renovation, inspection, and evaluation of pipeline and utility projects and related natural gas facilities.  His projects included the design of Natural Gas Vehicle filling stations and site development, grading and drainage plans, and construction of radio frequency communication facilities.  Mr. Scherzinger also founded and operated several companies in the building evaluation fields, including The Home Inspection Institute, LLC, and South Jersey Home Inspection, LLC, where he performed hundreds of evaluations of residential, industrial, and commercial buildings.

At Consulting Engineers & Scientists, Inc., Mr. Scherzinger evaluates building and structural engineering failures, alleged deficiencies, property loss issues, and premises liability matters.  In the area of building and structural engineering failures, Mr. Scherzinger has evaluated total collapses, component failures, foundation settlement, termite damage, and wet basements.  He has also evaluated the built environment regarding slips, trips, and falls.  Mr. Scherzinger’s expertise includes analysis for compliance with codes and standards, including OSHA, ICC (BOCA), ANSI, ASTM, ACI, IRC, IEBC, IBC and AISC.  Mr. Scherzinger is a licensed Construction Official, Commercial Pest Applicator for Wood Destroying Insects, Home Inspector, Radon Measurement Technician, and is a member of InterNACHI.  He is also a certified Project Management Professional.
