Russell J Kolmus III, P.E.

Russell J. Kolmus, III, P.E. has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering and a Master of Engineering Degree in Civil Engineering.  Mr. Kolmus also holds Professional Engineering licenses in five states.

Mr. Kolmus has over thirty years of engineering experience, which includes highway/roadway and bridge design, and inspection and quality control of major roadways and bridges.  This work also included drainage systems, grading, alignment, hydraulics, geotechnical investigations and construction consultation. His clients included governmental agencies and private developers.

Before joining the firm Mr. Kolmus was employed by Orth-Rodgers, Inc. as their Chief Structural Engineer; by McMahon Associates, Inc. as the head of their Harrisburg Office; by Gannett Fleming, Inc. as a Senior Project Manager; by Berger Lehman Associates, P.C. as a Senior Project Manager; and by Michael Baker, Jr., Inc. as a Structural Engineer.  With these various firms, Mr. Kolmus worked with private and governmental clients in eight states.

At Consulting Engineers & Scientists, Inc., Mr. Kolmus’ responsibilities include accident reconstruction; traffic safety; stormwater drainage; and the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of streets, highways, intersections, railroad crossings, parking lots, work zones, recreation facilities including playgrounds, and geotechnical (soil/rock) design, settlement, etc.  Additional responsibilities include slip/trip/fall evaluation, premises liability, claim assessment, evaluation of structures, and construction management.
